a broad level, Telemedicine involves healthcare applications
of telecommunication technologies (including through the
Internet). This can include providing medical care to
the patients at a distance for e.g. the use of live video
to examine patients in remote locations and also include
electronic transmission of patient records and x-rays;
expert consultations; education for health professionals
including those in rural and medically underserved communities
etc.. In other words, Telemedicine is the application
of telecommunication technology to deliver health care
and education to patients and providers at a distance.

or Government Hospital situated in various parts of the
country or abroad. It is used to consult Specialist Doctors

Limited(AHSL ).The software collects patients data and
converts it into a secure and confidential Electronic
Medical Records (EMR). This data is then transferred to
the Telemedicine Specialty Center where it is studied
by the authorized specialist. Based on the EMR the specialist
offers his /her opinion which is transmitted back to the
Grass Root (Peripheral) where the doctor uses it to provide
the patient the best possible treatment.
